To the Yale Community:

I write to inform you that a shooting occurred in an area around 35 km north of Islamabad, Pakistan late Sunday evening. One Middle Eastern man of unknown origin was shot and killed. The victim, who is not a member of the Yale community, was killed in what appears to be an international feud. No Americans or members of the Yale community were harmed. The United States Military is on the scene, so please avoid the area while the military completes their investigation.

Sincerely,

Ronnell A. Higgins

Chief, Yale Police Department
