After an unexpected cancellation by rapper Patrice “Pato” Wilson last night, the Spring Fling committee has booked a new performer for the Spring Fling afterparty.

DJ Earworm, an artist best known for his annual “United State of Pop” mashups, which mix together the top 25 songs of each year on the Billboard Top 100, will come to the afterparty at Toad’s on April 26, YCC Events Director Michael Chao ’11 said.

Chao said that after Wilson’s cancellation, the Spring Fling committee turned to DJ Earworm as an artist “within our price range” whose mashups are well-liked. After learning that DJ Earworm was available on the night of Spring Fling, a contract was drawn up, signed and returned to the committee within hours, Chao said. He received confirmation around 12:30 p.m. today, he said.

The afterparty will be free for Yale students and last from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.
