Michele Dufault’s ’11 funeral will be held Saturday in Scituate Harbor, Mass. Two buses will take students from all colleges to the funeral and will leave at 6 a.m. from Saybrook.

The Reserve Officer’s Training Corps made an appearance at the Bulldog Days Extracurricular Bazaar Thursday. The organization had two tables, for the University of New Haven Army ROTC and the US Air Force ROTC, and was invited by the Associate Dean of Yale College William Whobrey, Major James Hamma said.

Look out for fake police. Chief Ronnell Higgins said in an email alert to campus Thursday that at about 6:40 p.m. on Chapel and York Streets, a man wearing plainclothes claimed he was a detective and told a man he “fit the description of a suspect” in a robbery. The man obeyed the imposter’s command to show ID and handed over his wallet, which the impesonator got away with.

Lights for Mandi

Thursday night’s luminaria ceremony on Cross Campus was dedicated to cancer victim Mandi Schwartz ’11. In a precursor to tonight’s Relay for Life, attendees cracked glow sticks and threw them into a giant luminaria bag built for the occasion in honor of family and friends who have been cancer victims and survivors.
