Times covers Title IX

More than a week after the federal government opened an investigation into the University for possibly violating Title IX, a significant addition has been made to the list of media institutions covering the story.

An article published in the New York Times today describes Yale’s campus as in a state of “high alert” after 16 students and alumni filed a complaint with the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.

The article outlines what is referred to as an “outburst of raunchy male behavior that has shaken the campus in each of the last few school years,” specifically referencing the now infamous Delta Kappa Epsilon, Zeta Psi, and “preseason scouting report” incidents.

Five Yale undergraduate students are quoted in the article, each offering a slightly different perspective on the complaint, ranging anywhere from slightly dismissive to entirely supportive.
