During a Good Morning America segment on Monday about the federal government’s Title IX investigation of Yale, a male student yelled a sexually explicit remark as the reporter interviewed a female freshman on Old Campus near Lanman Wright and Durfee halls.

Meanwhile, the Title IX story was also covered on NBC’s Today Show, and CBS’ Early Show featured an interview with Naomi Wolf ’84. Wolf wrote a 2004 New York magazine article accusing professor Harold Bloom of sexual harassment when she was a student at Yale. “Yale has been systematically covering up much more serious crimes than the ones that can be easily identified,” she said in the interview.

St. Louis Blues hockey player Cam Janssen Tweeted Monday that, in exchange for every new Twitter follower he receives this week, he will donate money to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in memory of Mandi Schwartz ’11, who died of acute myeloid leukemia Sunday. Mandi’s younger brother, Jaden Schwartz, was a first-round draft pick for the Blues in 2010.

The Yale Glee Club will perform with “Glee” star Darren Criss, who plays Blaine, May 14 in San Francisco, Calif. Proceeds from the concert will go to organizations that work to put an end to bullying in schools, according to the ticket website.

1961 The News learns that University President A. Whitney Griswold is scheduled to return to his post later this month. Griswold has been recovering from an intestinal operation in Florida, which he underwent in the winter. The president has been swimming daily and playing golf.
