Congrats! You’ve been adopted to Yale!

Most parents are texting novices, and the iPhone’s Autocorrect certainly doesn’t help.

In a new book, “Damn You, Autocorrect,” based on the popular website, chronicles the many awkward moments that a change in spelling can make.

One of the authors favorite mis-texts, featured in the 15 most popular from February, involves a Yale adoption – er, acceptance:

“I’ve got something to tell you. Are you sitting down?” texted Mom.

“I actually am, what’s up Mom?” asked Jillian.

“Your brother was adopted!” happily exclaimed Mom.

“What??? What are you talking about? Why are you telling me this over text? Call me” responded her shocked daughter.

“Oh, this damn phone. I wrote accepted and the phone changed it. He got accepted to Yale!”
