New Haven on list of “ 20 cities you don’t want to live in… yet”

CNBC placed New Haven on a list of “ 20 cities you don’t want to live in… yet.”

“The bad” in New Haven, according to the list, is “high crime, high cost of living, high taxes and poor schools.”

Did they forget about Yale?

Not really. The article mentioned one of the “good” things about New Haven is that it houses Yale University. It also mentioned that New Haven is a 90-minute train ride from New York City that gives the inhabitants access to an easy get away.

CNBC highlighted the transformation the city has made from its once dark ages to the new and booming life it now has. There are new night clubs and pubs and there has also been a rise in the number of restaurants, with joints opening on nearly every corner. In addition, unemployment rates have also fallen from 9.7 percent to 9 percent.
