Through the Lens: An uphill climb

Yale’s many multi-story buildings are filled with stairs — grand staircases that carry students to class, creaky stairways that serve as fire escapes and welcoming steps to residential college entryways. Though gateways to other rooms and buildings, they make contributions of their own to Yale’s diverse architecture. Contributing photographer Josh Satok explores the ups and downs of the campus.
