Jessica Simpson isn’t just marrying a Yalie — she wants to be one, too.

The actress and singer, who is engaged to football player Eric Johnson ’01, emerged from a Los Angeles gym last Thursday wearing a gray Yale sweatshirt. Johnson is a former wide receiver for the Bulldogs.

That same day, she tweeted that she and Johnson might as well get married in sweatpants:

Yes,I am working out,but why is that worth any sorta press? I always take care of myself. Eric and I could get married right now in sweats!

Looks like they might have to hit up Campus Customs.

Now she can truly feel like a Yale student. The photo of the Yale-hoodie-wearing singer is now the background of the Yale University School of Art’s “Current Students” webpage. The page is a wiki that can be edited by students, faculty, staff and alumni. Unfortunately for Simpson, her name is not among the students listed on the site.
