Club sport driver? Get free caffeine

Yale Athletics cares about more than its varsity athletes.

Tom Migdalski, Director of Club Sports, sent an e-mail today to all club sports captains allowing drivers to be reimbursed for a caffeinated beverage each way of the trip.

“For your drivers of personal, rental or zip cars, safety and alertness is of my utmost concern,” Midgalski said.

For any trip longer than two hours or greater, a rest stop at the halfway point is required. A trip over three hours requires a half hour break.

“I want your drivers out of the car, walking into a public rest area, refreshing themselves and having something to drink. Failure to take scheduled breaks will result in immediate suspension of your club,” he said.

There is a move to bring back the phantom tollbooths in CT I think its a great idea with one pursuant. Let them just have the lanes put out a kettle and ring a bell
