The ECAC named men’s hockey netminder Ryan Rondeau ’11 its goalie of the week on Tuesday. It was the second time this season that Rondeau has earned the award.

The member of Morse College stopped 59 of the 61 shots he saw last weekend as Yale beat Harvard and Dartmouth. The Elis needed every one of his saves Friday night, as Rondeau’s shutout performance made all the difference in the team’s narrow 1–0 victory over the Crimson. In the Dartmouth win, he stopped 25 of 27 shots.

Rondeau is now 18–3 overall this season. His performance over the weekend lowered his goals against average to 1.92, the fourth best mark in the nation.

The senior will start between the pipes this weekend as Yale looks to snap its three-game road losing streak with contests at St. Lawrence and Clarkson.
