After sweeping its games this weekend, the men’s hockey team has established itself as the No. 2 team in the country.

Yale leapfrogged former No. 2 Denver — which dropped a game to Colorado State over the weekend — in the USCHO poll. The Pioneers fell all the way to No. 4, as Minnesota Duluth — the team Yale beat out to claim the No. 1 stop 10 weeks ago — climbed to No. 3.

In the USA Today poll — which pegged the Bulldogs at No. 2 last week — the Elis widened what had been a razor-thin margin over new No. 3 Minnesota-Duluth. Denver fell to No. 4 in that poll as well.

Boston College held on to its No. 1 spot in both polls after rolling to an easy win in its only game of the weekend. The Eagles beat No. 14 Boston University, in overtime Monday night after the poll was released.
