Two Yalies named Rhodes Scholars

Alice Baumgartner ’10 and Will Zeng ’11 are among the 32 American students named Rhodes Scholars this weekend.

Baumgartner (a former staff columnist for the News) and Zeng, both members of Berkeley College, were chosen from a field of 837 candidates endorsed by 307 colleges and universities across the country, according to a press release from the Rhodes Trust released Saturday. The Rhodes Trust will fund two or three years of study at the University of Oxford for a group of about 80 scholars selected worldwide, including the American contingent just announced.

Go Alice and Will! Worth a cheer…

“Berkeley, Berkeley, it’s really not that bad!
Maybe it’s not Davenport, but it’s sure not freakin’ Stiles!”
    Go BK!

    Or the better cheer:

“BK ALL THE WAY, ALL THE GUYS YOU WANT TO LAY! BK ALL THE WAY, ALL THE GIRLS YOU WANT TO LAY! BK ALL THE WAY EVERYONE YOU WAN TO LAY!”

    Too true.
