The Yale volleyball team will share the Ivy League title with Penn after the Quakers’ 3–2 victory over Princeton Wednesday night. The Bulldogs will now face Penn in a playoff match on Sunday at the John J. Lee Amphitheater to determine which team will make the trip to the NCAA tournament.

The Quakers narrowly edged the Tigers in five closely competed sets (25–22, 25–27, 24–26, 29–27, 16–14) despite being down 2–1 sets. Although Princeton’s season was over regardless of a win or loss, the Tigers gave a solid effort. The Tigers had four opportunities to win the match, but failed to convert each time. In the end, Lydia Rudnick, Princeton’s top player, committed an error, giving Penn the match and the chance to play Yale for a spot in the NCAA tournament.

Sunday’s match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
