The volleyball team (18-7, 12-2 Ivy) defeated Cornell (4-20, 2-12) 3-0 Saturday night to recapture the coveted Ivy League Title.

Despite having the worst record in the league, the Big Red did not make it easy for the Bulldogs with close scores in all three sets (25-20, 25-21, 25-21).

After a strong performance in last night’s win over Columbia, Kendall Polan ’14 led the team with 27 assists and 18 digs. Bridget Hearst ’12, Taylor Cramm ’12, and Erica Reetz ’14 capitalized on her teammates strong play double digit kills. Captain Kelly Ozurovich ’11, who played her last regular season game as a Bulldog, notched 16 digs.

Depending on the match between Princeton and Penn next week, Yale may share the Conference Title with Penn. In the case of a tied record, a playoff game would ensue and the victor will enter the NCAA tournament.
