The 40th anniversary of Garry Trudeau’s ’70 ART ’73 famed “Doonesbury” comic strip is upon us. We still run “Doonesbury,” which started as “Bull Tales” on the pages of the News. Although Trudeau is going to be on campus next week his name has been popping up in our Google News search today so we thought we’d collect some choice bits from tributes: Currently the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library is exhibiting “Doonesbury in a Time of War.” The Yale University Press is publishing “Doonesbury and the Art of G.B. Trudeau” by Brian Walker and Trudeau himself has “40: A Doonesbury Retrospective” coming out.
