Yalies make “40 Under 40″

As if we at the News needed more incentive to ditch journalism and head for lucrative careers in finance or consulting, Eric Braverman ’97 LAW ’02, a partner at McKinsey, was recently one of two Yalies named to Fortune magazine’s “40 under 40″ list.

A former Whiffenpoof, Braverman earned the number 32 spot for his work on the Obama-Biden transition and in McKinsey’s efforts to assist Haitian reconstruction. See, consulting isn’t all bad!

Ahead of Braverman on the list, though, is Charles Best ’98, who landed in the 26th spot for creating a website called donorschoose.org that connects potential contributors to specific teachers’ requests for assistance. Since it was founded in 2000, Best’s site has helped raise over $60 million for nearly 150,000 different projects.
