Princeton University reported an endowment return of 14.7 percent during the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010.

The gain brings Princeton’s endowment to $14.4 billion, following a year in which the endowment plunged nearly 24 percent to $12.6 billion. Princeton’s endowment return tops those of Yale, Dartmouth, Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania. Yale’s endowment returned 8.9 percent for the 2010 fiscal year, and its endowment remains the second largest in higher education at $16.7 billion.
