Richard Blumenthal LAW ’73, Connecticut’s attorney general and Democrat senatorial candidate, is getting some extra help straight from the White House.

First Lady Michelle Obama will campaign and raise money for Blumenthal on Monday, according to his official Twitter page. Campaign spokeswoman Maura Downes announced that the fundraiser will be held at the Palace Theatre in Stamford, Conn. President Barack Obama and former President Bill Clinton LAW ’73 have already made their own appearances in support of Blumenthal.

A Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday showed Blumenthal holding an 11 percentage point lead over Republican Linda McMahon.
