Farm Tour buses let students down

Students who woke up early to take Saturday morning’s Farm Tour were disappointed when the buses to take them to the farm did not show, Regenia Phillips, director for residential dining for Yale Dining, wrote in a message to the News.

The Farm Tours, which are co-sponsored by Yale Dining and the Yale College Council, give students who sign up the opportunity to visit local farms that provide Yale’s dining halls with food. The buses were supposed to leave at 8:30 a.m. from College Street, across from Commons Dining Hall.

“The bus company admitted that they forgot,” Phillips wrote.

Saturday’s tour was the last of the four tours scheduled for this fall, but Phillips said Yale Dining will work to reschedule the tour.

Is this the New Haven Bus Co? This is NOT the first time that they have forgotten about their commitments! Apparently, Yale has a deal with them, so it’s difficult for Yalies to book alternative bus companies, such as Dattco. This is very unfortunate!

Yes, this is not the first time this has happened. What kind of company repeatedly “forgets” its clients? What a joke.
