  • Helping the cause: Saturday’s “Help Can’t Wait — Pakistan Relief Concert” raised $11,000 for people in Pakistan whose lives have been uprooted by the natural disaster. University Chaplain Sharon Kugler said she was impressed with the results: “I was so very heartened by the number of students who came out and dug deep into their pockets to give so generously to the people of Pakistan.”
  • … Named “Desire”? Students relaxing on the New Haven Green or in class on Science Hill may soon hear a new sound in the street: the whirr of a streetcar. The city plans to reintroduce a tramline to New Haven after a 62-year absence.
