THE NEWS

  • You lose some, you win some. Dining halls are now charging students 25 cents for paper cups, but there’s a perk: tomorrow, everyone on a meal plan will receive a free stainless steel travel mug to help Yale reach its sustainability goals.
  • Dirty jobs: Glen Lyles is a New Haven street-sweeper and, according to him, he’s got the best job in the world. “I like everything about it. You’re in control. You do your route, knock your route out. You do what you gotta do.”
