Chaos in state after rainstorm

While roof leaks and enormous sidewalk puddles might be a pain for students enduring Tuesday’s rainstorm in New Haven, other regions of the state are experiencing far worse.

Due to rising flood levels in Old Saybrook, Old Mystic and Norwich, Gov. M. Jodi Rell has called a state of emergency, bringing in 150 National Guardsmen to assist with evacuating homes in affected areas, WTNH reported Tuesday. Watch video below.
