M. HOCKEY | Although the NCAA Tournament may be well under way in basketball, hockey teams across the country had to wait until Sunday morning to find out the NCAA Hockey Tournament brackets on ESPN2’s selection show — and Yale made the cut.

Despite being upset in the quarterfinals of the ECAC Tournament last weekend, the No. 9 Elis earned an at-large bid to the Northeast Regionals in Worcester, Mass. The third-seeded Bulldogs will face second-seed North Dakota on Saturday at 5 p.m.

The winner of the game will take on the winner of Saturday afternoon’s game between first-seed Boston College and fourth-seed Alaska.

Yale was seeded second in last year’s tournament but was eliminated in the first round after a 4-1 loss to Vermont.
