GOLF | After three rounds of tough competition, the Elis took 16th in the JMU/Eagle Landing Invite in Orlando Park, Fla. South Florida came in first with a score of 898 (+34). Yale finished with a 947 (+83).

Cassie Boles ’11 and Harriet Owers-Bradley ’11 had the lowest scores on the team, 234 (+18), and tied for 50th place in the tournament. The Bulldogs steadily improved throughout the tournament, with a particularly strong improvement from Alexandra Lipa ’13. She shot an 86 (+14) her first round, and in her third round she shot a 76 (+4).

Bradley said the outcome of the tournament is not a good indicator of the season.

“Anything can happen the rest of the season,” Bradley said. “This tournament doesn’t really mean anything. We really just needed to get out and play again.”

The Bulldogs will practice in Florida until Saturday. Their next official tournament is the Hoya Invitational at Georgetown on March 29 and 30.
