Princeton takes cue from ‘That’s Why I Chose Yale’

The Yale Admissions Office is not alone when it comes to using YouTube as a means of attracting potential applicants.

Only weeks after the launch of “That’s Why I Chose Yale”, the Princeton University Office of Communications has released its own two-minute promotional video titled “The Year of the Tiger.” The video features images of regal Bengal tigers spliced with clips of various student organizations and Princeton alumni.

The video currently has just over 1,900 views.

Makes you wonder if all the people who hated “That’s why I chose Yale” would have preferred a horrible video like this…

Gawd that is horrible. These Ivy league student producers need to do some internships in Hollywood or something.

Can this get any more amateur? I expected something much less homemade

Wow. This makes Yale’s video look like Avatar! Princeton should NOT have released this on the heels of “Why I Chose Yale.” The difference in production values is just too stark.

What makes you think this video was in response or had anything to do with Why I Chose Yale? Most schools have been releasing videos like this for years…
