To the chagrin of athletes and late lunchers, the table arrangement inside Commons Dining Hall has been altered; the tables that usually stand perpendicular to the central aisle have been rotated, and their ends now point toward the entrance and the back of the dining hall. Additionally, the sector of Commons designated for Morse students has been closed off.

But the change likely won’t be permanent, according to one dining hall swiper: the tables were moved because of an event that took place in Commons over the weekend, and they will likely return to their original position by the end of the week, he said.

The dining hall staffer went on to say that he was “really surprised” by the number of students who immediately noticed the seating arrangement change and commented on it out loud; many of them, he said, seemed quite affronted.
