Adding a festive feel to a regular dining hall day

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, frozen hearts appeared in front of Commons on Thursday afternoon. Mike Cook, head general services assistant for Commons, was responsible for the heart decorations: According to Regenia Phillips, the director of Residential Operations for Yale Dining, “part of [Cook's] mission outside of his regular job is to bring joy to people.” The frozen hearts, arranged in holiday-themed patterns, were part of an attempt to bring cheer to campus, Phillips said.
