Just in time for Valentine’s Day, frozen hearts appeared in front of Commons on Thursday afternoon. Mike Cook, head general services assistant for Commons, was responsible for the heart decorations: According to Regenia Phillips, the director of Residential Operations for Yale Dining, “part of [Cook’s] mission outside of his regular job is to bring joy to people.” The frozen hearts, arranged in holiday-themed patterns, were part of an attempt to bring cheer to campus, Phillips said.
