New Haven could see record-low temperatures overnight as cold weather grips the northeast, according to meteorologists. Temperatures in New Haven are projected to fall to the mid-30s overnight, according to WTNH-TV, and the National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for much of northern Connecticut.

The previous record low temperature for Sept. 20 in New Haven is 32 degrees, set in 1979.
