Update, 10:22 p.m. | A convoy of law enforcement officials has descended upon the Middletown, Conn., apartment where a Yale animal lab technician — who sources say is a person of interest in the killing of Annie Le GRD ’13 — lives.

Update, 10:20 p.m. | Anderson Cooper ’89 just said on CNN that his program will carry the press conference live.

Update, 10:06 p.m. | The press conference has yet to begin. Officials say it will commence in about 10 minutes. New Haven Police Department Chief James Lewis and Yale Police Department Chief James Perrotti are on hand.

The New Haven Police Department has announced a press conference tonight at 9:45 p.m. The e-mail announcing the conference, sent by City Hall spokeswoman Jessica Mayorga, was sent just before 9 p.m. Full text of the release below:

(NEW HAVEN)– New Haven Police will hold a news conference at 9:45 p.m. today at 1 Union Avenue (3rd Floor) to announce developments in the homicide investigation of Annie Le. No additional information will be disseminated before the news conference.
