A 56 year old who was hit by a Connecticut Transit bus in downtown New Haven on Monday has died from his injuries, the New Haven Register reported. Michael Jaye, a research scientist who worked in New Haven, was hit by the bus while crossing South Frontage Road at College Street. According to police, Jaye was walking in the crosswalk when the bus, turning from College onto South Frontage Road, struck him. The accident is still under investigation.

South Frontage Road is a notoriously dangerous street for pedestrians. Jaye was killed one block away from where Mila Rainof MED ’08 was stuck by a car and killed last April while she was crossing South Frontage Road.
