It’s 8 p.m. Pre-tap for senior societies has officially begun. Huzzah to the fortunate few! And for the rest of you, well, welcome to Yale.

Below, are the guidelines for the tap process, which were printed by societies in the News on Monday:

  1.  Interviews with senior societies occur during the spring semester; some societies conduct interviews and some do not.
  2. The occurrence of an interview with a senior society does not constitute an implicit offer of membership.
  3. Pre-tap begins at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2009.
  4. Offers of election to senior societies will be made only between pre-tap and tap day.
  5. No junior’s acceptance is binding until Tap Day at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2009.
