Until last semester, undergraduate drama productions did casting independently, which often resulted in staggered deadlines and long waits for directors to finalize casting. But the Yale Drama Coalition, an umbrella organization that connects undergrad drama groups, began a new casting system last semester to synchronize their casting timelines as well. Now, after a few casting cycles, the drama community is drawing conclusions about the new system.
