SOFTBALL: After exciting win, three losses
In its return to Ivy League competition this weekend, the Yale softball team narrowly missed getting swept in its two doubleheaders, salvaging the four games with a walk-off victory in game one thanks to a passed ball in the bottom of the seventh that scored two runs.
TENNIS: Bulldogs split Princeton, Penn
In their first taste of Ivy League action in 2015, the Yale men’s and women’s tennis teams squared off against Penn and Princeton. Though both squads opened their weekends with wins over the Quakers, losses to the Tigers spoiled both teams’ chances at consecutive victories.

After consecutive victories against Penn and Sacred Heart, the No. 11 men’s lacrosse team faces Dartmouth on Saturday with a chance to pull their Ivy record up to an even .500 and climb up the conference standings.

On Wednesday, the Yale women’s softball team hosted UMass-Amherst on their home turf. In what was the Bulldogs’ first home game this season, Yale suffered a 16–6 defeat against the Minutemen in just five innings of action.
