Yalies awoke with surprise Monday morning as they found college courtyards lined with a layer of fresh snow. Although the white stuff was gone before midday — and there was hardly enough for snowball fights — more winter weather is right around the corner.

Freshman BBQ recalls Miley song

The Freshman Class Council sponsored a barbeque for students Saturday. Students used a meal swipe to gain access to the food furnished by Yale Dining. The FCC advertised the barbecue with a video that featured the group clad in plaid, dancing to Miley Cyrus’ “Hoedown Throwdown.”

“Up” and energy conservation

Students braved the cold and took one for energy conservation at Blackout on Friday. STEP screened Pixar’s “Up” and offered s’mores, snacks, and hot chocolate for the participants.
