Whether through secret societies, internships, fraternities, sororities or other student organizations, we long to unpeel the onion of success at Yale. Our self-worth is pinned to these social constructions.

Let’s keep it crispy — do simple, small things to freshen up our springtime.

Caught between two cultures, I feel both deeply rooted in my history and also somewhat disconnected. And I know that’s not a sense unique to those from immigrant families — that’s something all of us feel, neither fully part of Yale nor of our families.

Only by having an engaged student body can we begin to create the change we talk about so much in op-eds and conversations with friends.
