Twice this weekend, the Yale women’s hockey team took a lead into the third period. And twice, the Bulldogs failed to hold on, losing 3–1 at Princeton on Friday and tying Quinnipiac 2–2 on Saturday.
Defender Jamie Gray ’13 has recorded one goal and two assists for the Elis this season.

Coming off of a big win in the “White Out for Mandi” game last Saturday afternoon, the Yale women’s hockey team is looking to solidify its playoff position by picking up some points this weekend on the road against Princeton and Quinnipiac.
Defender Aurora Kennedy ’14 helped a strong defensive effort that gave Yale its first shutout since it defeated Colgate in the teams’ last meeting on Oct. 26.

The Elis are on a six game winless streak and they haven’t won a conference game since October, against Colgate.

As conference play heats up for the Yale women’s hockey team, Thursday’s home game and Saturday’s road game against Brown offer the Bulldogs the chance to reverse a recent series of losses before playoff hopes fade away entirely.
The Elis were outshot 82–40 by their opponents in this weekend’s losses to St. Lawrence and Clarkson. Yale faced St. Lawrence without goalkeeper Jaimie Leonoff ’15.

The yale defense has improved its goals against average by 1.85 goals since last season and has already doubled its win total from last year with more than half the season remaining.

The Elis won their second game of the season 4–3 in overtime against the University of Connecticut in the semifinals of the Nutmeg Classic on Friday.
