White House correspondent dies. Gwen Ifill, a PBS NewsHour co-anchor who also moderated vice presidential debates and covered eight presidential campaigns, died at the age of 61. President Obama paid tribute to her Monday.

Yale groups support refugees. A coalition of Yale organizations is hosting a Stand with Refugees photo campaign this afternoon on Cross Campus. The groups have called on the University to stand with refugee and immigrant communities.

Antibiotic epidemic. As part of the national Get Smart About Antibiotics Week, Yale public health professors and other experts are hosting a panel discussion on what should be done to slow antibiotic resistance and the proliferation of drug-resistant diseases.
