THIS DAY IN YALE HISTORY 1941 President Franklin D. Roosevelt announces that the second draft registration date will include all young men who have turned 21 in the past seven months. The new rules will include many Yale students in the draft. The president’s statement follows the U.S. Army’s call for younger recruits.
