Central Connecticut State University is on lockdown due to a Monday afternoon “campus emergency,” according to the school’s website and twitter account.

University officials advised students to remain inside and “stay away from the windows” after students reported seeing a man with a firearm, a knife and body armor on campus Monday morning, reported the New York Daily News.

No further details about the emergency — or potential injuries — have been released by University officials, who are advising students to remain inside and “stay away from the windows.” The New Britain Police Department is on the scene, and campus was still on lockdown as of 1:38 p.m.

Update: Fox News Connecticut reported Monday afternoon that police were seen taking a handcuffed man from campus approximately two and a half hours after the incident was first reported.
