In an effort to provide relief to those affected by Hurricane Sandy, officials at the Yale School of Art are planning to hold an exhibition and auction with all proceeds slated to be donated to charity.

A Wednesday email signed by professors Robert Storr, Lisa Kereszi and Sam Messer asked faculty and graduate students at the school to donate their artwork to the auction, which will take place at a reception on Dec. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. Works will be on display in the top floor gallery at Green Hall beginning Dec. 3.

Donations will be directed toward charities that provide assistance to those affected by the hurricane in the Rockaways or Staten Island in New York, as well as those in the creative arts community.
