Yale’s women’s lacrosse team took home this season’s first Ivy League victory on Saturday, taking down the Columbia Lions 13-9 at home.

Seven different players scored goals in the win, with captain Caroline Crow’s ’12 five goals leading the pack. Attackers Kerri Fleishhacker ’15 and Devon Rhodes ‘13 scored two apiece, and midfielders Riley Foote ‘15, Cathryn Avallone ’15, Christina Doherty ’15 and Erin Magnuson ‘15 scored one apiece. Goalkeeper Whitney Quackenbush, meanwhile, made seven saves.

Before Saturday’s win, the Bulldogs had lost four games in a row. They’ll try to notch another win this Wednesday at 4 p.m., when Brown visits Reese Stadium.
