Apparently at least one of the complaints of the enigmatic Students For An Even Better Yale has caught the eye of University officials.

In an email sent to Yale’s international students, Ann Kuhlman, director of the Office of International Students and Scholars, took issue with SFAEBY’s accusation that the large number of undergraduates from other countries prevents the admission of well-qualified American students. She said that the publication of the flyers was likely a “poorly conceived” joke and should not make international students feel any less welcome at the University.

“Please know that the presence of international students in the Yale College community is highly valued by faculty, students and staff alike,” Kuhlman said. “We all work together to make sure that Yale is a welcoming community for everyone regardless of what passport you hold.”

Kuhlman said that if there were any concerns with the content of the flyer, students could contact frocos, peer liaisons, or her directly.

In an email to the News, SFAEBY representatives said Kuhlman’s response is “a prime example of the Yale Administration’s well-established liberal bias.”
