Maybe you should consider not moving to New York after graduation. In a recent ranking put together by CareerRookie and Apartments.com, the city of Hartford-New Haven, Conn. placed first as the best location for recent college graduates. The rankings were based on the city’s population of young adults ages 20-24, the number of jobs requiring minimal experience, and the mean price to rent a one-bedroom apartment.

The ranking cites Hartford-New Haven as having an average rent of $1,047 for one-bedroom apartments. Second and third place went to Cleveland and Boston, respectively.
