Pat Ludwig ’12, a junior right-handed pitcher on the baseball team, is this week’s YDN Player of the Week. His dominant performance on Sunday in led Yale to a 5-1 victory over Dartmouth, completing a four-game weekend sweep of the Big Green.

Ludwig struck out a career-high 12 batters in seven and a half innings, with at least one strikeout in every inning he pitched. His superb play allowed Yale to sweep the four-game series with Dartmouth, the two-time defending Ivy League Champions, for the first time since 1998. The Bulldogs are now two games ahead of both Dartmouth and Brown in the Rolfe Division standings.

Ludwig is a native of Okemos, Michigan and is in Calhoun College.
