Yale dining halls might be short on fresh vegetables these days, but Harvard’s really getting desperate.

One Cantab sat down with a bowl of edamame in the Adams House dining hall yesterday, and got some unexpected company — a snail.

It might not be surprising to see final club denizens dining on escargot and subjugating third world nations, but the mollusk in question was hardly cooked and covered in garlic butter. He was happily occupying the salad bar.

No word from the Evil Empire on the snail’s fate.
