Two of the opponents who contributed to Yale’s two-loss weekend have been honored as ECAC players of the week.

Rensselaer teammates Chase Polacek and Allen York were named the conference’s skater of the week and goaltender of the week, respectively.

Polacek, a center and the team’s leading scorer, notched a goal and two assists in the Engineers’ 5–2 win over Yale Saturday night. He leads the ECAC with 39 points this season. Three Elis sit behind him tied for third in the conference in scoring — Broc Little ’11, Brian O’Neill ’12, and Andrew Miller ’13 each have 27 points.

York, the RPI goalie, stopped 38 of 40 Yale shots during his team’s win. The No. 8/9 Engineers have climbed to fourth place in the ECAC with 10 wins in their past 12 games. York has manned the net for every one of those victories.

York and Polacek both won their honors for the second consecutive week.
