A few days after an overflowing Hendrie Hall turned away new United Parcel Service deliveries, since the mailroom was filled to capacity, the packages have finally been delivered today, Ed Zollinger, a UPS customer relations manager, said. Hendrie Hall will be open tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. so that students can pick up their packages.

“Our understanding is that the packages were all delivered,” Zollinger said. “The driver was schedule to take all the packages out and deliver them to Yale Station today.”

Zollinger said he was aware of students’ frustration about the situation and had received several messages from them. He added that UPS is no longer in charge of the Hendrie Hall facility, as Yale took over delivery services there in September 2010. UPS has plans to reach out to Yale officials to smooth over logistical issues in the future, he said.

John Kinnear, UPS corporate customer relations manager, also confirmed that UPS did not send the humorous email urging students to pick up their packages this Wednesday.

An earlier version of this post incorrectly referred to Hendrie Hall as Yale Station at Hendrie Hall.
