The lawyers for Raymond Clark III, the animal lab technician who is charged with the murder of Annie Le GRD ’13, met with the prosecution Wednesday for a pre-trial conference.

Clark, who has plead “not guilty” to the charge of felony murder, did not attend the meeting said Beth Merkin, one of his attorneys. The conference is a standard part of the pre-trial proceedings, and was scheduled so New Haven Superior Court Judge Roland Fasano can stay up to date on the case.

Merkin said that, although there were no decision made at the time, “things are in the works.” This includes an attempt at a resolution before the trial, she added, but she could not specify if either party was working on a plea agreement.

The next official court meeting is scheduled for Feb. 9, she said.

Clark is currently held at the MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution in Suffield, Conn.
