Yale’s architecture reveals no shortage of detailing. Carved into campus buildings are all manner of figures and flourishes, from reading students to Latin sayings to colonial militamen. Though there’s not a medieval gargoyle to be found — much of campus was built in the 1930s, after all — Yale’s buildings hide many secrets in plain sight.
